Canvas or "green" bags, as some stores like to call them, are good ways to help save the environment. Some are even made from recycleable material.
Here's a short list of places that seem to sell quality bags and places that appear to have less quality bags.
-Target - People in a community I'm part of have reported that while these bags are cheap, they don't hold up well at all.
-Wal-Mart - Reports are mixed on these bags - some have had good luck with them while others find that they have ripped easily.
-Trader Joe's - Everyone who got their canvas bags at Trader Joe's reports loving them. They assert these bags are sturdy and last a very long time.
-Safeway - Mixed reviews - some people find these bags hold up find while others don't appear to think they are quality "green" bags.
-Albertson's - These bags have been reported as quality.
-Cotsco - Everyone who bought bags at Cotcso also loves them. They report these bags are durable and last a very long time.
Most grocery stores have started giving customers who bring canvas bags to pack their groceries in a small discount.
